Focus on Football Basic Rules.

  Kickoff :  • Game starts with a kick-off from team’s zero yard line.  • A kickoff (in air) that is dropped is a “dead ball” at that spot.  • A kickoff (on ground) may be picked up and returned.  • Out of bounds kickoff= Team starts at mid-field or where the ball went out of bounds (returning team chooses)  1st Down and Girl Involvement:  • 4 plays to get to first down (mid-field) cone.  • A girl must be involved in one play before the first down marker AND before getting a touchdown. o Running the ball o Pass attempt to girl- doesn’t have to be caught o Quarterback pass by girl  • Girl hiking the ball to QB does not count as a girl play  • A touchdown pass or score by a girl is worth 2 touchdowns • 2 ways a boy can score without a girl being involved o Kickoff return o Interception and taken back for a touchdown  Other PE Football Rules :  • No QB sneaks and no blitzing by defense.  • Defenders must count out 5 alligator...

Proclamation of May 25th as World Football Day.

The United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution A/RES/78/281  in 2024. proclaiming May 25th as World Football Day (WFD), each year, acknowledging "the global reach of football and its impact in various spheres, including commerce, peace and diplomacy, and recognizing that football creates a space for cooperation." The General Assembly,  Recalling its resolution 77/27 of 1 December 2022, in which it reaffirmed that sport is an important enabler of sustainable development and recognized the growing contribution of sport to the realization of development and peace, the promotion of tolerance and respect, and the empowerment of women and girls, young people, individuals and communities, and persons with disabilities, as well as to the achievement of physical and mental health, education and social inclusion objectives, Recalling also its resolutions on sport as a means to promote education, health, development and peace, in particular resolution 58/5 of 3 Novemb...
